October 9 2026: Ontario Trillium Benefit (OTB) – Ontario residents – and Advanced Canada Workers Benefit (ACWB) – low-income workers – up to $468.83 per installment family
October 15 2026: Canada Disability Benefit – new federal benefit
October 20 2026: Canada Child Benefit (CCB) – major payment – Tuesday Oct 20 – up to $679.75 per child under 6, $573.58 age 6-17 – based on 2025 income – must file tax return – Max income $38,237 for full amount – if benefit under $240 per year – lump sum in July
October 23 2026: Newfoundland and Labrador Disability Benefit

Eligibility: Canadian resident for tax, citizen/PR/protected person/Indian Act – temporary residents qualify after 18 months continuous + valid permit 19th month – must file tax returns both spouses.
Apply: New parents automated birth registration, or CRA My Account or Form RC66 mailed to tax centre – newcomers online benefit application tool.
