What Your Status Means for October 2026:
Approved: Your grant is confirmed. Payment will be 26-30 October 2026. If you see Approved but no pay date, SASSA is still processing – check again later.
Pending: Your application is still being verified. This is normal. Takes 7-10 days. Check again after 26 October
Declined: You did not qualify for October. Read reason (e.g., alternative income source). You can appeal within 90 days at srd.sassa.gov.za/appeals
Bank Details Pending: Update your bank details on portal – SASSA cannot pay into someone else’s account.
